Our “Where’s My Bag?” series highlights Clark & Mayfield handbags in interesting locations around the world. This is a guest post by Melissa D. Jones, a traveler, artist, photographer, storyteller, foodie and creative entrepreneur. Living for adventure and new experiences she's photographed her way around all 50 states and 45 countries (still counting!) and wrote her travel knowledge into a book Women with Wanderlust: A Guide to Roaming to help inspire a world with more roamers.
Florida is a popular destination all year for its warm weather. It's a great place to escape that's tropical but still in the United States. It's also a gateway to other tropical locations by plane or cruise ship...if you like that kind of thing. I know in the past that's what brought me to Florida.
For me, going to Florida on this trip wasn't for the beaches but for a warm weather holiday. It wasn't as warm as I wanted it to be but still a bit warmer than it was back home in Oregon.
The cool part about staying in or near Orlando is the proximity to theme parks and all the attractions and shows that come with it. If your hotel or vacation rental is close enough to the parks you get so see nightly fireworks. Plus, around Christmas time there are light displays and falling snow. Snow and warm weather, now that's a combination I like.
It was easy to stay connected to my work on my trip by slipping my laptop in my Stafford Pro Laptop Bag. One of the best things about this bag, besides being red, is that is slips over the handle on my carry on bag for easy transport at the airport or while trying to escape from alligators. I might be kidding on the alligator part but you do get to see them when you go to Florida. Hopefully you'll see them at a safe distance.
