"You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read with a child."
On March 2, the National Education Association's signature program, Read Across America, will motivate students around the country to get lost in a book. This year's official Read Across America book is the Dr. Seuss classic: What Pet Should I Get?
Check out the NEA's website, which offers free resources for teachers and parents. Take the Read Across America pledge, plan your own reading event, or find events that will take place in your area. It's never too early to instill a love of reading and never too late to improve a student's literacy!
